Vacation Pictures!

Yes, I decided to start putting up more of the pictures of my vacation to Munich, Germany back in October 2006. And I've decided to group them together to save a lot of effort. And the first group is:

THINGS WITH WHEELS!!!

This is exactly what it is - a Mini Cooper togged out in the colors of the Bayernisches Landspolizei (Bavarian State Police). Cute, huh? A city like Munich has a lot of narrow, winding streets and a Mini's perfect for the job.

This is a typical BMW motor scooter - with a roof and a trunk.

A Smart car! These things come in two and four-door varieties, and you see a lot of them tooling about the streets.

The Pinakothek der Moderne features many exhibits devoted to design, such as this 1936 Czechoslovakian Tatra rear-engine car. The designer chose to stick a tail fin on the bugger, which only adds to its retro charm.
Finally we have another exhibit from the Pinakothek der Moderne, a 1928 BMW motorcycle. Very stylish.

That's all for now - there'll be another collection of wheeled vehicles, followed by planes and trains!
